The refinery is of significant importance for the Lukashenka regime. Mozyr Oil Refinery is also a part-owner of the Belarusian Oil Company (BNK), Belarus’s leading exporter of petroleum, alongside Belorusneft and Naftan, Therefore, Mozyr Oil Refinery is controlled by and associated with entities supporting and benefitting from the Lukashenka regime.
